Unlucky at Oxford

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: June 21, 2008

In his second race at Oxford Plains Speedway, Ricky Wolf again had a frustrating day as he failed to make the feature event.

Ricky recalls the events of the weekend...

"Our second ever trip to Oxford Plains Speedway proved to be just as frustrating as the first. A great draw saw us line up 3rd in the first of four 15 lap qualifying races, but an over anxious competitor wrecked us just 5 laps into the qualifying race. The car sustained heavy right front damage, and despite an incredible effort to get us back on track in time for the consolation race, and the B Feature, the car was just not right after the heavy damage it sustained. We were unable to race our way into the 150 lap feature. It is frustrating when you have a good draw and a car that is fast enough to race its way into the feature, only to be wrecked on lap 5.

This weekend sees us look north to the racey White Mountain Motorsports Park, in North Woodstock, NH. The entire Willoughby Motorsports team is looking for a change in our racing luck, and there is no better place for that than WMMP. I have previously competed and practiced at WMMP in our Wolf Motorsports Late Model, and are expecting, like so many others, to have a fast car on Saturday, June 28th."
